The next class will be March 21, 2026. I can also do private walks on your property. Sunday the 22 will be a rain date if Saturday is a downpour. We should cover at least 30 or more of the edible, medicinal and utilitarian plants of the central Virginia area. We'll ID and sample some of the edibles and discuss how to process them, ID and discuss the uses of the medicinal plants and finally, show how some of the utilitarian plants can be made into cordage, implements or used for friction fire. The walk will last 2.5 to 3 hours, it is roughly 1.0 mile long and mostly level walking. We'll meet up in Palmyra, Va. 22963 ( Fluvanna county ), at the Rail Trail, exact location and directions will be posted after signup. Class size is limited to 15 students. Handouts will be given out after class.
